---- Outras músicas que inspiram pelas letras são "Hunter" da contora Dido e "Leave out all the rest" do Linkin Park. Ambos os clipes estão no acervo do blog ou no You Tube. Bom 2009 com ótimas músicas! Hehehe!

Video: Queen Mary - Child Ghost / Anomalies at Pool Area

Statement: During a recent trip to the Queen Mary several people called out to and got response from Sarah and Jackie. Unbeknownst at the time, they were imaged in amazing clarity going in and out of walls and floors when called to.

Note: There is at least one very nice 'signature orb' in this video. Interesting presentation.

China's 'Dinosaur City': World's Largest Fossil Site

Scientists claim to have uncovered the world's largest haul of dinosaur fossils in China.

They recovered some 7,600 fossils from a 980ft-long pit near Zhucheng city in the eastern province of Shandong in a dig lasting seven months.

The finds at the site - dubbed 'Dinosaur City' - include the remains of a 65ft hadrosaurus, possibly a record size for fossils of the duck-billed species.

China, a relative latecomer to archaeology, has stepped up exploration in recent years and makes regular finds of rare fossils, which are sometimes smuggled abroad to be sold for large sums.

In January, Australia handed back a haul of dinosaur fossils to Beijing, including eggs dating back hundreds of millions of years.

They were recovered from warehouses and cargo containers in sting operations.
Scientists believe further excavations could yield even more fossils.

Zhucheng has produced dinosaur fossils in some 30 sites, according to local media.

Última Do Ano

Aline, A Série

---- Quem sabe? Eu gostei!

The Roswell Undertaker's Secret...Revealed

From UFO Iconoclast(s):

For years embalmer Glenn Dennis has told an intriguing Roswell crash tale. If true, it leaves no doubt that what fell to Earth in July of 1947 in New Mexico sands was from another world. However Glenn's story has been disputed by researchers as having serious difficulties. Today, some have all but dismissed his purported involvement in the crash events.

But new interviews and information show that the undertaker's amazing story may well have basis in fact. And a fresh look may have uncovered the possible identity of the "missing nurse" at the Roswell base who decades ago revealed to Glenn the alien reality of the crash.

Glenn Dennis could only happen in a place like New Mexico. His top shirt button always clasped, he often wore a bolero. His frame was lanky but always upright- standing at least two feet taller than desert brush. A marvel of shortened hyperbole, tongue-in-cheek cusses and flirtations- this is how family remembers Glenn.

Glenn Dennis is now on the far side of 85…

and a shell of his former self. He is reported to be in gravely ill health. But in July of 1947, he was an energetic young man busily employed as a Mortuary Assistant for the Ballard Funeral Home in Roswell, NM. Ballard's had a long-standing contract with the Roswell military base to provide ambulance and mortuary services….

Dennis signed an affidavit two decades ago that outlined some very unusual events that he had experienced that Summer of 1947. He maintained that he had received a strange call while at Ballard's from an officer at the Roswell base a short time after the Roswell crash. The officer was inquiring about the availability of hermetically-sealed baby caskets. Glenn was also questioned about body preservation methods. Dennis replied that he could provide the caskets- and that the best way to preserve the corpses would be to have them frozen. The officer also wanted to know about tissue and blood changes that might occur if bodies were out in the open, exposed to the elements. Curious about the odd call, Dennis asked the officer if something had happened at the base. He was told that the information was simply for "future reference."

Soon after, Dennis was summoned to the base to pick up an injured airman. He says that on his return, he viewed what appeared to be some very strange debris from some sort of wreckage. He saw the debris in the backs of base vehicles as he slowly and deliberately passed through a ramp exit. One of the debris pieces was "canoe shaped" and about three feet long. It appeared to have odd colored hues like burnt steel, but it was not steel. It had inscribed on it 3"-4" high "hieroglyphics" that ran in a pattern along the contour of the wreckage piece.

Glenn was spotted observing the material by an officer, who then stopped Glenn and loudly rebuked him. He demanded to know of Glenn who he was, why he was there and what else he may have seen. He told Dennis to say nothing of what he may have witnessed. Glenn told the officer to "Go to Hell." He was a civilian who would not be talked to in that manner. The officer then threatened "Don't kid yourself, they'll be picking your bones out of the sand!"

Glenn explains that Roswell's Sheriff George Wilcox made a visit to Glenn's father's house a couple of days later. Wilcox (a friend of Glenn's father) warned the elder Dennis to let Glenn know that he had better keep quiet about anything he may have known or seen at the base that day.

The part of Glenn's story that is the most controversial-

Dennis states that while Sheriff Wilcox was at his father's, Glenn was actually returning to the base to see a nurse friend. He wanted to know if she had heard anything about all of this. They discussed what she knew over Cokes at a base dining area.

She told Glenn that she had earlier witnessed a horrific site. A doctor had pulled her into a room for assistance where there she had viewed three strange "foreign bodies'" that were being examined. She nauseated from the wretching stench. She described to Glenn a classic alien humanoid form, which she had drawn on a napkin for Glenn.

The creature had an enlarged head, slit-like mouth with vestigial nose and ears, unusual eyes and enlongated arms. Hysterical in the re-telling, the nurse then admonished Dennis to leave the base immediately. That is the last Dennis ever saw of her.

In the 1990s holes began to emerge in Glenn's story. Glenn had given researchers the name of the Roswell base nurse as "Naomi Self" - which later proved to be a phony name. He also told conflicting stories about what had become of the nurse. He said that she had died in a plane crash, that she went to England and even that she joined a convent. There are other problems with Glenn's story. He mentioned a doctor who he said was involved, but who was later proven could not have been. It is rumored that Glenn may have asked for compensation for later interviews. And Glenn helped to establish the Roswell UFO museum, which became a source of (modest) personal income for a brief period of time.

Despite all of this, there are several reasons why Glenn's tale should not be dismissed-

1) Supporting Glenns' story is the fact that he never sought to tell it. He was found. Researcher Stan Friedman first interviewed Glenn on August 5, 1989. Friedman found Glenn because Friedman had reasoned that the Roswell undertaker may have heard something about the incident. Only later did Dennis become public on the matter.

2) The former Chief of Police for Roswell, L. M. Hall, signed an affidavit in which he recalls that -just a few days after the July 1947 crash- Dennis had recounted to him the odd call from the base about the availability of child caskets.

3) A Roswell base medical technician in 1947, David Wagnon, signed an affidavit that he remembers the nurse as described by Dennis

4) Glenn's grandson, Kelly Abbott, states on a family history website that Glenn told his Roswell story to his close family in the 1980s. This was after the first Roswell book was published in 1980, but before "all of the books and movies" had come out in the 1990s about the incident. He says "Papa told the story with the sense that it was about time someone knew what happened. This is before he had spoken publicly."

5) Glenn's high school classmate was Rogene Cordes. I recently found and contacted Rogene. She is the widow of an Air Force General and believes Glenn implicitly. She was also a neighbor of Roswell Sheriff George Wilcox. Mrs. Cordes says that she knows that Glenn is telling the truth. She is cautious in relating her knowledge, but she indicates that there are things about Glenn's story that she knows happened at the time, including the involvement of Sheriff Wilcox and the call to Glenn about ice for bodies. Rogene mentions that she could not find any ice or dry ice anywhere that crash weekend. Not at Clardy's dairy nor at the train depot, which stored and sold dry ice. Glenn had told the base officer that the best way to preserve corpses was to freeze them. The military had found their ice.

6) A Roswell Army Air Field serviceman in 1947, Sgt. Milton Sprouse (who spent ten years in the military) remembers distinctly Glenn speaking of the event decades ago. Sprouse says that a few years after the crash he had seen Glenn at a mutual friend's funeral. Glenn brought up in conversation the base's strange call inquiring about the child caskets.

7) Glenn's close friend was Mollie Abramitis. Mollie recently related to me an extraordinary story. She was visiting New Mexico from her home in California in April of 1989. Glenn was managing the Wortley Hotel at the time. Glenn invited her and others for dinner. He then told a small group of close friends gathered at the hotel's dining room that he had an important story to tell them. It had been troubling him for a very long time. He felt compelled and ready to share it with them. He said that he was worried that the story had "gotten out" and he was concerned about approaches for interviews about the subject. He told Mollie and the others assembled at the Wortley the precise ET story that he told publicly much later. Mollie said that Glenn appeared genuinely concerned, even frightened. An ex-police officer at the table beseeched Glenn that he must speak out publicly and tell all that he knows, that it would be the best form of "personal protection." Glenn rarely drank. But this time, Mollie says, after he had told his astonishing story, Glenn partook of some liquid courage.

8) Glenn's fraternal twin Bob Dennis (now deceased) was alway reluctant to discuss his brother's story. John Price was Bob Dennis' close friend. Bob explained to John that he was overseas in the military when the Roswell crash had happened. But his father told him about it when he returned from the service. Bob said that his father was very good friends with Sheriff Wilcox. He said that Wilcox and his Deputy (Tommy Thompson) did in fact come to the house and warned their father to make sure that Glenn says nothing of the event. It is likely that Glenn's father was told much more about the crash event by his Sheriff friend. This is because Bob Dennis said that his father made him promise to never reveal any details about the event. Bob kept that promise to his death, always saying the it was Glenn's story to tell.

9) The 1947 Roswell Fire Chief's son was identified and contacted by me recently. Rue was living in the Roswell area at the time of the crash and knew Dennis, as did his father. He stated sparingly, and not wishing to elaborate, that "everything that Glenn says happened."

Glenn's "nurse friend" has never been conclusively identified. Glenn did not provide researchers with her real name, if she existed. But then again...she just may have. Reexamination of old documents -and the confessions of a Roswell family- reveal that there are two very likely candidates:

Eileen (Adeline) Fanton was a 1st Lieutenant that was very briefly attached to the Roswell Army Airfield Station Hospital as a General Nurse- from December 26, 1946 until September 4, 1947:

· According to military records Lt. Eileen Fanton (single) was 5'l" and 100 pounds, with dark hair and eyes and of Italian descent. Dennis described the nurse that he had known as "small like Audrey Hepburn, with short black hair, dark eyes and olive skin."

· Fanton was a graduate of a Catholic academy and Catholic nursing school. Glenn said that his nurse was "raised as a strict Catholic."

· Fanton is confirmed to have later served a tour duty in England. Dennis had mentioned England as (one of) the places he thought that the nurse may have relocated.

· Fanton was educated by nuns. Dennis has offered an alternate story that he had heard that the nurse had later become a nun. Fanton left the Roswell base weeks after her meeting with Glenn. She was admitted to a hospital for a reputed "D&C" abortion procedure. She retired from military service in 1955 and was never located to be questioned. She is believed deceased.

Ms. Miriam Bush:

In July of 1947 Miriam Bush was a single 27 year old woman who (according to records and family) was employed by the Roswell base. Though not a "nurse"- she was a medical secretary in base hospital services.

· Like the "nurse" that Glenn described, Miriam was smallish and attractive, with black, short-cut hair and dark eyes.

· Glenn had offered the faked name of "Naomi Self" as the identity of his missing nurse. "Miriam" may well be an anagram of sorts for "Naomi." Both "Miriam" and "Naomi" have the same length of letters, as do the last names "Bush" and "Self."

· Amazingly (according to her brother George, her sister Jean and her sister-in-law Patricia) Miriam would arrive at her parents home one day after work in the Summer of 1947. She was tearful and in shock. She had described to her family a horrible event that had occured earlier that day. She was pulled into a base hospital room by a doctor who wanted her to be aware of something. She sickened as her eyes cast upon "little bodies" on gurneys in the middle of the room. These bodies were childlike but they were not children. They were strange- with massive heads and eyes that were not at all right. She told her family that she begged God to let her forget the sight.

· Traumatized, Miriam would flee New Mexico shortly thereafter and go to California where she remained for years without communicating with those back home. Alcoholic, Miriam would commit suicide at very end of 1989. 1989 is the very year that Glenn "went public" with his Roswell story.

Glenn has mixed misdirection with truth. He used storytelling devices to hide or obfuscate identities. His concern for protecting privacy was in conflict with his desire to get out the story. He saw others making money on the story and -ever the businessman- thought he'd profit some as well. He may have injected some imagination into history to awaken interest. Perhaps he did it to supplement a story where the real facts could not be obtained.

It could even be that Glenn was himself not the "involved" one, but was covering for another. Or it may be that his father had confided to Glenn the story that he had learned from friend Sheriff George Wilcox. It must also be remembered that flirtatious Glenn was a newlywed with an expectant and homebound wife at the time of the Roswell crash. His "relationship" with the nurse may have been more than casual- another possible reason for his evasiveness.

Whatever the case, there can be no doubt that there is a true -but hidden- "core story" somewhere to be found within Glenn's fascinating tale.

Perhaps Kelly Abbott, Glenn's grandson, sums the Roswell undertaker's tale best: "While it's true that his heart may have always been in the right place, his brain often got him in trouble. To many who've lived their lives and will die in Roswell, Glenn was their undertaker. Trust in him is a given. To those of us who know him better, the truth of the matter is far more complicated."

Video: Tree Grows Through Wall of Kyoto Restaurant

The tree in question happens to be a specially-designated holy tree that is said to have protected buildings around it from damage during the 1788 Great Fire of Tenmei that destroyed a large sections of Kyoto. When the building shown in the video was constructed 50 years ago, it's builders made a hole in the wall of the structure to preserve the sacred tree. The owner of the restaurant that houses the base of the tree claims that its power protected his store from damage during a fire that damaged much of the building 30 years ago.

Michelle Williams Has Been Visited By Heath Ledger's Ghost

Michelle Williams has been visited by the ghost of her ex-fiance Heath Ledger.

The actress - who split from the actor in September 2007, three months before he died of an accidental prescription drugs overdose - stunned co-workers on the set of new movie 'Shutter Island' when she made the shocking revelation. Michelle says she has seen Heath's ghost twice, and admits she was "scared half to death" during the first haunting.

She claims she was awoken in the night by a series of eerie bumps, and realised furniture in her bedroom was being moved around. According to National Enquirer magazine, she caught a glance of a shadowy figure, which she maintains was Heath.

Although 28-year-old Michelle was initially unsure whether she had imagined the visitation, she became convinced she had seen his ghost when it happened again. The second time, Michelle says the apparition was much more vivid. She realised it was Heath when he spoke and apologised for not being able to help raise Matilda, the couple's three-year-old daughter.

Video: UFO Captured Over Lillehammer, Norway

Statement: An unidentified flying object made itself visible at December 27th 2008 over a city in Norway, it was very cold and dark outside but a clear starry night nevertheless - even tho the cold temperature makes stars and planets appear smaller than with warm weather, the object in the sky was quite huge and clear, at least twice the size of planet Jupiter. Both Jupiter and Venus is located at different dec. and the object disappeared from location after 1 1/2 hour. The telescopic filters shows that the object pushes red light (high energy), and blocks blue, the object also appears to be of a Dropa shape - it is at least similar. We were 5 witnesses present when the object appeared.

HBCC Report: Sasquatch Hit By Truck - Cache Creek, British Columbia

Posted: December 28, 2008

Date: December 28, 2008 Time: 5:30 p.m.

Location of Sighting: Cache Creek. Number of witnesses: 2 Number of objects: 1 Shape of objects: NA

HBCC UFO Research Note: Well from the sounds of things there may have been a Sasquatch hit by a truck on the Highway. This "alleged" incident I hope to have more information on this if possible. Or will see if this incident is for real or what. Also I am not sure if there is an RCMP Detachment in Cache Creek. I know there is one in Ashcroft. Just so everyone understands, I am having a bit of a problem with this story myself. But I thought I would throw this out there just in case. Also since I am doing something on Sasquatch, I had a tiny report come in over another "alleged" Bigfoot sighting at mile 238 near Fort Greely.

Full Description of event/sighting: So here's what I know so far. About an hour and a half ago my dad was following a pickup, just this side of Cache Creek. The pickup swerved, then dad heard a bang and the pickup stopped. Dad pulled over and got out to help not knowing what kind of animal the guy hit. The 2 of them got closer and there was this big hairy thing laying in the road, arms halfway down his legs and huge hands and feet and was walking upright before the guy hit it. It smelt really bad and was making strange noises, the guys pickup was quite damaged but still drivable. Dad helped the guy load this animal into the back of the pickup (which had a canopy) and they were taking it to the RCMP in Cache Creek to find out what the heck it is. It was still alive as it was making noises, but it was knocked out and injured. Dad has never seen anything like it before, be watching the news tonight everyone!

The Most Haunted Bed and Breakfast in Florida

Some houses come with a Jacuzzi, a swimming pool or a bomb shelter. Mine came with a ghost. Didn't cost anything extra.

The spirit of the original owner likes to toy with the central heating. During the summer, she singles out guests she doesn't like and cranks up the thermostat to the bubbling temperature of Brunswick stew. Or she'll bang on the windows of her old room. Once she tossed some cutlery around and knocked over some candlesticks during dinner. It's a little like having a slightly sloshed Lindsay Lohan living in our house. My wife and I don't mind.

Earlier this month, my wife's company held its annual holiday powwow at the Seven Sisters Inn near downtown Ocala. It's also known as The Most Haunted Bed And Breakfast In Florida. Real-life ghostbusters from the TV programs "Ghost Hunters" and "Psychic Kids" will be staying there on Feb. 6 and 7 looking for signs from the afterlife (www.sevensistershaunt.com). Why the dead would want to go back to Central Florida is beyond me. Is Italy that overcrowded with the recently departed?

My wife and I were booked into the Scott Room, which was decorated with an aggressively nautical motif. If some ghost wanted to get some spanking done, there were plenty of paddles on the wall.

"I saw a woman who was dressed like she had just stepped off the Titanic sitting in that chair right there reading a newspaper," Seven Sisters ghost expert and guide Charlie Childes said when I asked him about the former tenants of the Scott Room. "She had a big hat and looked up from the newspaper when I walked by one morning."

Ah-ha. So that's who's keeping the print newspaper industry afloat.

Childes — a likable and knowledgeable New England native whose family was persecuted during the Salem Witch Trials — said the Seven Sisters Inn is crowded with the phantoms of dead kids. It's a former boarding house that was built in 1888. It's situated on the grounds where all sorts of bad stuff went on during The Seminole Wars in the early 19th century. The mischievous little Caspers like to sit on the front stairwell and trip Childes.

"I don't like children, but there's a little boy that stays around here," Childes said. "Someone saw me walking across the parking lot and a little boy was following right behind me. I didn't see him, but other people did."

The ghosts often form attachments to some of the guests and employees, Childes said.

"If they're attracted to you, they'll come home with you," Childes said. "They'll get in your car and follow you home."

Hey, that's just like three-for-one night at the (now-defunct) Grand Finale bar on Tennessee Street back in the '80s.

Folks who stay in the inn are invited to write about their paranormal experiences in public diaries. The book in my room had reports of "phantom smells." I'll just go ahead and let you insert your own joke right here . . ..

When the "Ghost Hunters" gang spent the night during one of the show's earlier tapings, the ghosts monkeyed with one cast member's flip-flops by moving one of the shower shoes from the stairwell to a store room. That used to happen to me all the time at the Athens YMCA Camp, except we called those ghosts "counselors."

I also learned the unhappily undead like to spell things with toothpicks because, I suppose, there's no e-mail or text-messaging in the netherworld. There's a dead zone along the banks of the River Styx. Thank goodness for that.

"A couple was getting dressed to go out to dinner and the wife noticed someone had spilled a box of toothpicks in the closet," Childes said. "They called the desk and asked if anyone had dropped a box of toothpicks and nobody had. When they came back after dinner, the toothpicks spelled 'M-O-M.'"

A little while later — around a time which I'll call The Cocktail Hour — the husband and wife came back to the room to find the toothpicks were arranged to spell: "M-Y-M-O-M." I hope that Mr. Childes didn't notice that I experienced my own little phantom smell after he told me that story.

When the Seven Sisters was a boarding house in the '30s, Childes said, a woman who "was not right in the head" used to carefully cut out pictures from movie magazines. Then she would take them "to the little girl living in the attic."

But (as if I have to tell you) there was no little girl hanging out in the room at the top of the Seven Sisters gawking at photos of Cary Grant and Merle Oberon.

Because the spectres of children are so common around the inn, many guests have reported pranks and practical jokes. I was wearing a blazer during my tour of the rooms — each decorated in its own playful, over-the-top theme, such as early Egypt or latter-day Elvis — when I noticed that pennies kept showing up in my coat pocket. Three coins mysteriously showed up. I never carry pennies. Why don't ghosts tote $100 bills?

After absorbing every detail in Childes' narrative, I did the only reasonable thing and started drinking wine liberally before and during dinner. (How else do you expect to sleep in a spook palace if some dead dude is tickling your nose?) My friend Tuck, who is a personal trainer and in tip-top physical shape, was also along for the Seven Sisters experience. He decided to delight the afterlife by performing a Chippendales-style lap-dance for the undead in the haunted armchair in his room. Or so his wife told me. I hope Tuck wasn't expecting a big tip. Those ghosts in Ocala are cheap.

When I returned home to my haunted house in Tallahassee, I left the front door open so all the little tag-along ghost kids could get out of the car, unpack their undead stuff and get to know the cats. I left a tip jar out by my bed. It should be filled with pennies by Independence Day.

Ghost Sightings: Belleman’s Church Road, Berks County, PA

In the early days of my 36 years of searching for paranormal events and locales in Berks County, I was apprised of the sighting of a ghostly figure along Belleman’s Church Road near its namesake church.

There are those reading this now who may remember the hours spent walking along that road or camped out in cars seeking the senses others had felt there. Several of us spent a fair amount of time waiting for the ghosts that were said to stroll that roadway.
In articles written in a now-defunct weekly newspaper, I had established myself as a ghost hunter and received many leads as to where haunted houses — and roads — may be found. Dozens, and then hundreds, of correspondents shared their experiences with me, and I would often venture out to the sites of their sightings.

One of them was a stretch of Belleman’s Church Road where two ghosts had been spotted by at least four individuals who had contacted me.

To this day, it is only speculated that the ghosts may have been that of Adaline Baver and the man who murdered her in Mohrsville in 1845. Adaline is buried in the Belleman’s Church graveyard.

Apparently the road still is haunted, but as related in a recent e-mail from a woman I shall only refer to as "K," the ghost she saw was not Adaline, who was described as a trim, beautiful young girl.

"K" was driving home from her uncle’s house at around 2 a.m. when she had a most unsettling encounter.

"I was coming toward the church on Belleman’s Church Road and all of a sudden I saw this huge woman, so bright on this dark road, walk toward my car in the middle of the road. Then, she sat down cross-legged, looked straight ahead, and disappeared!

"She was tall, had medium-brown, shoulder-length hair, and just stared straight ahead! She had on very bright fluorescent clothes that were pink and orange and yellow. An overwhelming feeling came over me, and I was so scared that I barely made it home!"

Her grandmother, who was in the car at the time, confirmed that she also saw the curious disappearing figure.

"The lady I saw on Belleman’s Church Road was so overwhelming I don’t ever go on that road again," "K" said. "I can see her today like it was a few minutes ago!"

Anomalies / UFOs Captured During 'Capturing the Light' Interview

Statement: While filming capturing the light, Dorothy's daughter was being interviewed. Later, while going back over the footage, a strange light in the sky behind her was noticed.

Dorothy Izatt herself has seemed to live an extraordinary life when it comes to the UFO and the paranormal. She has been filming UFOs for over 30 years, even managing to capture UFOs using 4 different cameras. She could be one of the most honest of people who has ever come forward with credible evidence.

Australian Liberal Party Leader Says UFO Information ‘Above Top Secret’

Australian’s are seeing strange things in the skies and sometimes on the ground, from Melbourne to Mullumbimby, from Budgewoi to Bundaberg. UFO sightings have never been more frequent, yet politicians are keeping mysteriously quiet on the topic.

One of these politicians is Malcolm Turnbull, one of the biggest names in Australian politics. Malcolm Turnbull is a member of the Australian Parliament and the Leader of one of Australia’s two main political parties, The Liberal Party, the party identified with John Howard, Australia’s previous leader. The party is now in opposition, however Turnbull stands a good chance of being Australia’s next Prime Minister. Turnbull is also highly associated with the movement calling for Australia to ditch the UK Monarchy. If he does become PM Australia might have a good chance of becoming a republic (in the event Australia’s current PM, Mr Kevin Rudd doesn’t beat him to it) but don’t hold your breath for any UFO related disclosure.

Michael Cohen, of All News Web, happened to chance upon Mr Turnbull and ask him a few questions regarding UFO related topics, probably the first time he was asked anything on the topic by any media outlet. Some of his answers were startling. On whether he would disclose what the Government knew about UFO and Alien visitation and contact with humans he was rather evasive, claiming he wasn’t sure they knew anything and if they did they weren’t telling him or anyone he knows. Then he made the surprise revelation:‘That information would be above top secret, highest classification of secrecy’. This was a truly remarkable comment. He also mentioned that ‘Australia hasn’t had its Roswell yet’ to which our reporter replied ‘That’s not exactly true.’

So there we have it, yet another top ranking politician alluding to a government within a government that might know something about the topic but isn’t telling anyone, even elected officials and party heads.

When asked if he believed earth is being visited by Aliens and whether he believed in UFO’s he simply reversed the question and asked our reporter if he did. Yet the impression gained was that he knew more than he was prepared to give away.

Reality is that Australia’s attitudes towards UFO disclosure are as progressive as the nation’s attitudes towards internet censorship: We can expect secrecy for decades. I guess we will never find out why so many UFO sightings down under involve helicopters in tow, spotlights searching for something in sky. We will never find out why the next day no one can even confirm if there were helicopters aloft the night before, what government department they were from or what the heck they were searching the sky for at 2am.

After all, we powerless mere mortals are way too dumb to be trusted with information on questions like ‘is there anyone out there?’ We would rather leave that to the ‘elected’ elite that control our lives.

Japanese Man Claims to be a Descendant of Jesus

On Dec 25, the round-faced Mr Sawaguchi will get up in the icy predawn of northern Japan, put on his uniform of suit and tie and head off for another day as a civil servant in the construction division of Aomori Prefectural Government.

But on his way out the door of his home, in the hamlet of Shingo, he will probably give a nod in the direction of the mound of earth topped by a wooden cross that is the last resting place of the man that Christianity reveres as the Messiah.

"I'm not really planning anything at all for the 25th as it doesn't really matter to us," said 52-year-old Mr Sawaguchi. "I know I am descended from Jesus but as a Buddhist it's just not all that important."

Married with a son and daughter, Mr Sawaguchi may display the same degree of religious flexibility that is common in Japan, but his beliefs are firm. Jesus is buried in the neighbouring field, along with his brother Isukiri, and nearby are the scattered remains of pyramid that was larger than those in Egypt but toppled in an earthquake in 1857.

Seven hours north of Tokyo by train and bus, Shingo only had garlic farming to to put it on the map until a scroll was found in 1935 by a Shinto priest in nearby Ibaraki Prefecture that was identified as Christ's will and, bizzarely, identified Shingo as his last resting place.

The scroll is on display in the "Village of Christ Legend Museum," which closes in the tourist off-season between October and April, and is the basis of a very different take on the incredible tale.

According to the document, Jesus arrived in Aomori at the age of 21, where he took the name Daitenku Taro Jurai, studied the Japanese language and developed a deep affinity for the country and people. Eleven years later – conveniently the same period in the Bible that his whereabouts cannot be accounted for – he returned to Judea but fell foul of the Romans.

Instead of being crucified, however, the Romans got the wrong man and nailed his brother, Isukiri, to the cross. Carrying his brother's ear and a lock of hair from the Virgin Mary, Jesus fled across Siberia to Shingo, where he grew rice, married a local woman called Miyuko and had three daughters, it claims.

At the ripe old age of 106, Jesus died peacefully and was interred in the mound that sits on Mr Sawaguchi's land.

"My family has always owned this land, but I'm not even sure how many generations there are between us," says Mr Sawaguchi, with his self-depreciating chuckle.

But it is not just the physical evidence that local people hold up as evidence of their village being the site of Christ's eternal repose; the hamlet's former name, Herai, sounds slightly similar to "Hebrew," the chants in the summer festival at the site of the tomb sound somewhat Judaic and Mr Sawaguchi's grandfather stood out in the neighbourhood for being tall and thin, completely the opposite of these sturdy mountain folk.

But most tellingly, he had blue eyes, they say. Shingo has built up a respectable income from a tourism trade that has visitors buying Tomb of Christ biscuits, sweets, chopsticks and postcards, but Mr Sawaguchi leaves that side of his fame to his neighbours. He is content to talk to some of the visitors to his ancestor's grave, tend his garlic plant smallholding and go to work.

Video: Fragment From 1988 Muncie, Indiana UFO Crash Revealed

Statement: I have been researching the UFO subject for the last 10 years. UFOs and Aliens most certainly exist. I wish the media would do some research before they laugh at the subject. It's time the media took the subject seriously and started demanding the truth from our leaders.

Roswell was not a Mogul balloon. Two alien space craft crashed north west of Roswell in 1947. There have been several other crash retrievals since then. I know several "insiders" with first hand knowledge. All of them dream of the day when they could be able to testify before congress as to what they know.

It's not the 1940's any more. We can handle the truth. Like John Podesta said back in 2000, it's not only the right thing to do it's the law. What I'm showing in this video is an actual fragment of a UFO which crashed near Muncie Indiana in 1988. It was recovered by a dear friend of mine who is much older than me. He worked in the Government on a top secret project in the 1990's which was funded by DARPA. He recovered the fragment in 1989 when a friend of his who was a FEMA agent brought him to the site. Not all UFOs are of ET origin. Only "some" are. Project Blue Book was under staffed and under funded. It served the purpose of a PR program to debunk UFOs. The Condon Report was bias and skeptical from the start, thus they came to wrong conclusions which the USAF uses to this day to make it seem like they could care less about UFOs and they know nothing about them.

I am more than willing to let CNN or anyone else who is willing to take this seriously analyze it. Simply contact me. I will not mail the fragment, so you will have to come to me in Atlanta or I will meet you in Atlanta.

Yahoo's Top Paranormal Searches of 2008

The Internet is great for: 1. Checking mail. 2. Getting stock quotes. 3. Finding proof that ghosts exist.

At least that's how it seems given all the people that click on stories, videos and more claiming to be evidence of encounters with spirits. Ghosts may be dead, but they aren't going away, and in fact emerged as the most sought-after supernatural phenomenon of 2008. Possibly the ghost-with-the-most this year was the weird blue mist at the gas station. Spirit from beyond, or trick of light? No one knows, but it was fun to search about.

Speaking of fun, in a year of serious global troubles and political milestones, the Web has to thank people like Matthew Whitton and Rick Dyer. The two Georgia residents announced to the world that they had a frozen Sasquatch corpse. This claim melted like the ice around the rubber gorilla costume that they present to the public. The elaborate Bigfoot hoax kept the Internet buzzing for days.

The annual "discovery" of an alleged Chupacabra in Texas also provided the online world with a doozy of a diversion. The mythical goatblood-sucking creature of the American Southwest is often subject to supposed sightings, but the existence of an apparent specimen generated hype worthy of a horror film. Sadly, to the horror of many transfixed Web users, the body turned out to be a mangy pit bull.

These two hoaxes were cherries on the proverbial sundae of paranormal enthusiasm. People gravitating to old classics like aliens, the Loch Ness Monster, and vampires kept cryptozoologists busy updating their websites.

One last popular search term may prove that ultimately, the real monsters of the world are as impressive as those we can imagine. Megalodon was a prehistoric shark approximately 40 to 60 feet long. Yes, a shark as big as a truck. Some people believe that this terrifying creature still exists in the deep waters of the world, sparking fear and fascination across the collective cyber-unconscious. Who wouldn't want to see what one would look like?

As the remote corners of the earth vanish, and the few remaining natural secrets of the world are unveiled, the imagination will probably continue to run wild with new mystery beasts (we didn't forget about you, Montauk Monster!) Heck, even our president-elect has a fondness for terrifying fictional creatures.

CIA Trades Viagra To Afghan Warlords For Information On Taliban

"Whatever it takes to make friends and influence people – whether it's building a school or handing out Viagra," one veteran CIA officer told The Washington Post.

According to the newspaper, pills to boost the libidos of Afghan tribal patriarchs are the latest in a long line of inducements including medicine or operations for family, toys and school equipment, tooth extractions and visas.

In one case, a warlord aged 60 who was struggling to satisfy his four younger wives was also holding back information that could be crucial to American interests.

A clandestine CIA operatives who was visiting sensed an opportunity and reached into his bag for a small gift of four blue pills. "Take one of these," he said. "You'll love it."

Four days later, the CIA man returned to a beaming warlord – whether there were any smiles form his wives was not reported. The warlord furnished the CIA with invaluable details of Taliban supply routes and movements before requesting more pills.

More traditional CIA bribes involved money and guns. But they can be problematic because the weapons might be used against American forces and money can compromise an informant who is not careful about how visibly it is spent.

"If you give an asset $1,000, he'll go out and buy the shiniest junk he can find, and it will be apparent that he has suddenly come into a lot of money from someone," Jamie Smith, a former CIA officer, told The Washington Post.

"Even if he doesn't get killed, he becomes ineffective as an informant because everyone knows where he got it."

The trick was to identify a means of pleasing the CIA source enough to guarantee his loyalty without making it obvious to others that he's being rewarded.

"You're trying to bridge a gap between people living in the 18th century and people coming in from the 21st century so you look for those common things in the form of material aid that motivate people everywhere."

Retrospectiva Musical 2008

Female Poltergeist Terrorized Indian Police in Ramol, Gujarat

Burglars? No. Murderers? No. Terrorists? Uh-uh. The cops posted at the Ramol police station claim they have routed something that is untrammelled by laws and far more fearsome: A ghost! Unbelievable, though, it may sound, the Ramol police claim they were ‘terrorised’ by a ghost for more than a month last year.

The Ramol police claim the ghost — believed to be a woman poltergeist — used to overturn furniture and shove cops working in the night shift at the police station. They say that the ghost, which was “contained by a tantrik” a few days before Diwali last year, used to specifically target cops sitting on chairs and tables.

The Ramol police station, which is referred to by villagers as bhoot thana, was set up on a rented premises on October 5, 2007. “This building was earlier a rice mill,” a constable, who didn’t want to be named, said. “Villagers say a girl had died while working in the mill several years ago, and her spirit roamed on the premises. They warned us against starting a police station here, but we told them that ghosts won’t trouble us because we are serving the people.”

According to a constable at the police station, more than 10 cops were “troubled by the ghost”. “It used to push police officials off tables and chairs,” the constable, Batuksinh Darbar, said. “Some police officials even complained of chest pain in middle of the night. They felt as if someone had jumped on their chests. Then there were others who felt someone was strangling them.”

Darbar said that eventually everyone at the Ramol police station started working near the entrance at night. “Almost all the cops working in the night shift noticed strange activity inside the police station. We were all so scared that we decided to park ourselves near the police station’s entrance after sundown,” he said.

A team from AM visited Ramol on Wednesday night, and found that the police station was located in a ghostly area. It is in middle of an empty plot, surrounded by crop fields. A few villagers told the AM team they used to hear sounds of machines even when there were no workers inside the mill.

A Ramol police official said that a tantrik helped them get rid of the ghost last year. “A man identified by locals as Ishwar Sadhu brought a tantrik to the police station. The tantrik performed some rituals, and hung picture of Meldi Mata on a wall. He also hung a red cloth pouch, which is believed to have the girl’s spirit,” the official said. “We have not noticed any suspicious activity since then.”

The official also said that the first thing that some cops do after entering the police station was to offer prayers to Meldi Mata. ASI Rajendra Chauhan, meanwhile, said that the police station was functioning normally. “We are not facing any problems,” he said. Another official said that though the police station functioned normally at night, some cops were still a bit leery of the premises.

‘Ghost sighting’ led to Kaligam outpost’s closure?

A police outpost in Kaligam near Ranip was closed about four years back after a constable apparently spotted a ghost. Sources in the Sabarmati police station, which managed the outpost, say the constable — Joravsinh — left the outpost claiming that he was slapped by a ghost. They say eventually all officials of the outpost stopped working there.

A senior official at the Sabarmati police station said that outpost was closed following reports of “suspicious activity”. “The incident, involving a constable, occurred before I joined the Sabarmati police station, so I cannot comment much on it,” the official said.

Vatican To 'Re-Examine' It's Stance On Galileo

Galileo Galilei is going from heretic to hero.

The Vatican is recasting the most famous victim of its Inquisition as a man of faith, just in time for the 400th anniversary of Galileo's telescope and the U.N.-designated International Year of Astronomy next year.

Pope Benedict XVI paid tribute to the Italian astronomer and physicist Sunday, saying he and other scientists had helped the faithful better understand and "contemplate with gratitude the Lord's works."

In May, several Vatican officials will participate in an international conference to re-examine the Galileo affair, and top Vatican officials are now saying Galileo should be named the "patron" of the dialogue between faith and reason.

It's quite a reversal of fortune for Galileo Galilei (1564-1642), who made the first complete astronomical telescope and used it to gather evidence that the Earth revolved around the sun. Church teaching at the time placed Earth at the center of the universe.

The church denounced Galileo's theory as dangerous to the faith, but Galileo defied its warnings. Tried as a heretic in 1633 and forced to recant, he was sentenced to life imprisonment, later changed to house arrest.

The Church has for years been striving to shed its reputation for being hostile to science, in part by producing top-notch research out of its own telescope.

In 1992, Pope John Paul II declared that the ruling against Galileo was an error resulting from "tragic mutual incomprehension."

But that apparently wasn't enough. In January, Benedict canceled a speech at Rome's La Sapienza University after a group of professors, citing the Galileo episode and depicting Benedict as a religious figure opposed to science, argued that he shouldn't speak at a public university.

The Galileo anniversary appears to be giving the Vatican new impetus to put the matter to rest. In doing so, Vatican officials are stressing Galileo's faith as well as his science, to show the two are not mutually exclusive.

At a Vatican conference last month entitled "Science 400 Years after Galileo Galilei," the Vatican No. 2, Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone, said Galileo was an astronomer, but one who "lovingly cultivated his faith and his profound religious conviction."

"Galileo Galilei was a man of faith who saw nature as a book authored by God," Bertone said.

The head of the Vatican's Pontifical Council for Culture, which co-sponsored the conference, went further. Archbishop Gianfranco Ravasi told Vatican Radio that Galileo "could become for some the ideal patron for a dialogue between science and faith."

He said Galileo's writings offered a "path" to explore how faith and reason were not incompatible.

The Rev. John Padberg, a church historian and the director of the Institute of Jesuit Sources at St. Louis University, said he suspected the Vatican's new emphasis on Galileo's faith came from the pope himself.

"Pope Benedict XVI is ardently convinced of the congruence of faith and reason, and he is concerned, especially in the present circumstances, of giving reason its due place in the whole scheme of things," he said.

While it is widely accepted that Galileo was a convinced Catholic, Padberg questioned whether he could ever be accepted as some kind of a poster child for the faith and reason debate. "That's going to be a long shot for an awful lot of people, on both sides, by the way," he said.

Benedict, a theologian, has made exploring the faith-reason relationship a key aspect of his papacy, and has directed his daily newspaper, L'Osservatore Romano, in particular, to take up the charge.

On Monday, the newspaper published a piece on the possibility of alien life on other planets as well as one on the popes who were "friendly" to astronomy.

Benedict clearly is: In his Sunday blessing, he noted that the Vatican itself has its own meridian — an obelisk in St. Peter's Square — and that astronomy had long been used to signal prayer times for the faithful.

But the Vatican's embrace of Galileo only goes so far.

There were plans earlier this year to give Galileo a permanent place of honor in the Vatican to mark the anniversary of his telescope: a statue, to be located inside the Vatican gardens, donated by the Italian aerospace giant Finmeccanica SpA.

The plans were suspended after some Vatican officials voiced "problems" with the initiative, said Nicola Cabibbo, the president of the Pontifical Council for Science. He declined to elaborate.

Finmeccanica spokesman Roberto Alatri said the Galileo statue was just an idea that never got off the ground.

Italian news reports suggested the Vatican simply didn't want to draw so much permanent attention to the Galileo episode, which 400 years on, still rankles some.

"The dramatic clash between Galileo and some men of the Church left wounds that are still open today," the Vatican's chief astronomer, the Rev. Jose Funes, wrote recently in Osservatore. "The Church in some ways has recognized its errors.

"Maybe it could do better. One can always do better," he wrote.

Beijing's Most Haunted Building: Chaonei Dajie No.81

In every city there are local tales of unexplained circumstances and “haunted houses”. Beijing, being such a large city still covered by much ancient architecture has inevitably gained its own reputation for being home to many haunted houses and accompanying ghost stories.

Chaonei Dajie No.81 building is one of the most famous haunted places in Beijing. On the bustling strip of Chaoyangmen Neidajie; No.81 is a rundown multi-leveled building with an ominous appearance. This particular western structure looks quite obtrusive and unique among the flourishing Chinese architectures that surround it.

It was built in the Colonial Period around 1900 and was supposed to be a church presented as a gift to the British colonists. Due to on-going wars and the collapse of the Qing dynasty it was shutdown. Inside the building was a strange tunnel which travelled from the crypt, underground all the way to Tuan Jiehu Lake, which was destroyed due to the construction of Beijing’s line 2 subway.

During the Republic of China period, a high-ranking National Party official took up residence in this building. At the time that the Communist party began taking power, the official abandoned his family and took refuge in Taiwan.

One of his concubines couldn’t stand the heartache of losing the official from her life and as a tragic result she hung herself in that very building. Since this day, weird and abnormal things keep occurring; apparently people can still hear someone crying during storms or nights that coincided with a full moon.

In the 1980s, for some unknown reason, the government added an additional floor on the top of No.81. Logic tells us that top floors cannot simply be added to ordinary buildings unless they have sufficient supporting foundations beneath the ground. Rumors have it that this decrepit building still holds something significant and suspect beneath the ground on which it stands.

The Chinese government attempted to pull this building down but extraordinarily, the entire project was halted due to the mysterious disappearances of several construction workers. Following these events, No.81 has gained an infamous reputation and completely plagued.

Lately No. 81 has become one of the most popular mysterious targets for a group of young people named Urban Exploration. The famous TV show 永不瞑目/ Under a False Name was also shot here as the scary atmosphere suits perfectly with the storyline.

Scientist Claims 'Kissin' Cousins' Are Accepted By Nature

In an age of sexual liberation, marriage between cousins remains taboo, at least in the United States — and from a scientific perspective, laws against the unions are a socially legitimized form of genetic and sexual discrimination.

That argument, raised Monday in an editorial in Public Library of Science Biology, may turn the stomachs of people raised to disapprove of any form of incest. But dispassioned analysis suggests that cousin marriage is no more troubling than childbearing by middle-aged women.

"Women over the age of 40 are not prevented from childbearing, nor is anyone suggesting they should be, despite an equivalent risk of birth defects," write zoologists Hamish Spencer and Diane Paul. Bans against cousin marriage, they say, should be repealed, "because neither the scientific nor social assumptions that informed them are any longer defensible."

Thirty-one states outlaw marriage between first cousins, making the United States the only developed country in which the practice is regularly banned. Most were passed in the Civil War's aftermath — not, say Spencer and Paul, to reduce the chance of defects caused by combinations of deleterious genes, but as part of a radical expansion of government authority over private lives.

"Unlike the situation in Britain and much of Europe, cousin marriage in the U.S. was associated not with the aristocracy and upper middle class but with much easier targets: immigrants and the rural poor," they write.

But their argument is far from consensus: in Forbidden Relatives: The American Myth of Cousin Marriage, Kansas State University anthropologist Martin Ottenheimer argues that the bans were driven by now-discredited 19th century research on birth defects among children born to first cousins.

Whatever their motivations, the laws are not supported by science. According to the National Society of Genetic Counselors, birth defects are 2 to 3 percent more common in children born to first cousins than among the general population — a real risk, but not enough to justify the bans.

"It's a form of discrimination that nobody talks about. People worry about not getting health insurance — but saying that someone shouldn't marry based on how they're related, when there's no known harm, to me is a form of discrimination," said Robin Bennett, a University of Washington genetic counselor who led the NSGC study.

Precise statistics on cousin-union frequency in the United States are hard to come by, she said, but discrimination and ignorance have serious consequences.

"I'm aware of people who have been afraid to tell people that they're in love with their cousins, who've become pregnant and potentially terminated a pregnancy based on false information," said Bennett. "Or they didn't marry the person they loved because of their concerns."

"The laws against cousin marriage are archaic, outdated and counterproductive," said Ottenheimer.

Repealing these laws doesn't seem likely in the near future: Gay marriage remains a more pressing issue. But anyone who wants to fight for cousin marriage won't have to fight against science.

"Ultimately it's a political question about what you allow individuals to do, and what that says about the structure of society," said Spencer.

Crematorium To Help Heat Swedish Town

Officials in the western Swedish town came up with the idea after a recent environmental review concluded that the crematorium's chimneys were pumping far too much smoke into the air. Inspectors said the crematorium would have to buy new ovens in order to meet basic environmental standards.

"It was when we were discussing all these environmental issues that we started thinking about the energy that is used in the cremations and realised that instead of all that heat just going up into the air, we could make use of it somehow. It was just rising into the skies for nothing," said Lennart Andersson, the director of the cemetery in the town of Halmstad. "For starters we will heat our own premises. But I hope we can connect to the district heating network in the future."

The plan in Halmstad - the hometown of Arsenal football star Freddie Ljungberg - could also help the crematorium save money.

Not only will it eliminate the facility's own heating bill, but it will also allow the crematorium to save money on cooling the smoke before it is released into the environment.

When a body is cremated, toxic materials are released from the corpse. For example, fillings in the teeth, when heated to high temperatures, release mercury. In order to filter out the toxic materials before they are released into the air, the crematorium must cool the smoke from around 1,000C to 150C. But, with the heat now directed into the public heating system, the smoke will already be much closer to 150C and the crematorium will spend less on materials, including water, to cool it down.

So far, Mr Andersson said, the plan has met with approval from locals in the town of 55,000.

"Of course it's possible that there will be some discussion about the ethics of this, but from our side, this is a purely environmental idea," he said. "There will be no difference in the ashes."

If the new heating system proves to be successful in the crematorium's own facilities, town officials have said they hope to tap into the new energy source by 2010.

Alleged Leaked UFO Video - NASA STS 115

Information stated:

The object seen by the STS 115 ATLANTIS SHUTTLE CREW may have been this disk object videotaped in space near the ATLANTIS SHUTTLE.

It is moving away and it looks like it's within the 100 feet range or a little further. This footage has not been confirmed nor denied by NASA nor any other government entity.

Footage was sent to an anonymous poster who stated on the original posting that this is 'LEAKED NASA FOOTAGE' sent to a TV station news satellite receiving dish.

MUFON Sighting Report: UFOs Over Eastland County, Texas - Photos

Witness statement: I have already sent this report to Steve Hudgeons of MUFON in Texas. I am reporting it here, for your records.

On Sunday, Dec. 21, 2008 at approximately 3:43 a.m., I took my dogs outside, in the back yard of our farm house, and as I am always looking at the sky, I saw an object SSW of my location. It was 60 degrees above the horizon, at an elevation of at least 5,000 ft. (my best guess). It was probably somewhere over, or just south of the small town of Cross Plains. The object was blinking white and red lights in rapid succession. There was also a hint of green color. At first I thought it was simply a brilliant star, or Venus but that observation changed. I carry my digital camera with me, just in case. I snapped several photos but only one came out. I apparently snapped the photos when the object would momentarily go dark. However, as you can see by the one image I managed to capture, that the object is clearly discernible. To the naked eye, the object was elongated, like a disk or triangle. The craft(?) stayed in the same spot in the sky for the 20 minutes I viewed it, then it vanished into the fast moving clouds, though it momentarily lit up a cloud as it was enveloped. The object made no noise. As for how I felt, well, as long as they are "up there" and not chasing me into the house like one did last month, I felt fine, still do.

Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2008, 9:55 p.m.-
Observed object earlier in the evening, as I came home from the grocery store in Cisco. As I drove home headed SW on Hwy 206, a bright object was located in the SW, approx. 60 degrees above horizon, near where Venus would be. However, there was a dark bank of high clouds above and behind the object, so Venus was not visible until well after I got home at 6:50 p.m.. I was soon briefly able to see both Venus and the object, then lower clouds moved in and both Venus and the object disappeared. I called my husband who is 45 miles north of me and he could see it too, though he could not make out what it looked like. To me, I could see 3 lights blinking together, on and off. Total viewing time of first sighting: 25 minutes.

Later that evening at 9:55 p.m., I took my dogs outside and the object was again observed at approx. 80 degrees above horizon, due south. In 3 hours it had moved to the east. I could make out 3 distinct white lights together in a horizontal position. The object had 3 lights that seemed to flash together, with a brighter or lesser degree of intensity. The object was static and I observed it long enough to snap one picture, then the object blinked out to total darkness and was gone, yet I could still see the stars that were behind the object at the time. A few minutes later, clouds moved across that area of sky and I gave up searching. Total time of observation for the second sighting was about 3 minutes.

I am located approximately 50 miles east of Dyess AFB, and approx. 95 miles west of Air Force Plant 4 (formerly Carswell AFB).

The 1st photo shows the object I witnessed on Dec. 21, 2008 and the 2nd photo is for Dec. 23, 2008.

Plastic Surgeon Used Human Fat From Liposuction as a Biofuel

A Beverly Hills plastic surgeon who claims to have turned fat, extricated in liposuction, into biofuel for his car has skipped town after US officials raided his surgery in an investigation into his procedures.

Dr Craig Alan Bittner, who runs the Liposculpture clinic on Rodeo Drive, said that he had created “lipodiesel” with his patients’ excess subcutaneous fat.

The cosmetic surgeon told Forbes.com that he used the blubber to power two cars including his four-wheel-drive Ford.

Dr Bittner is under investigation by the California Department of Public Health because it is illegal in the state to use human medical waste to power vehicles.

He reportedly wrote about the practice on his website, lipodiesel.com, which has since been shut down. "The vast majority of my patients request that I use their fat for fuel - and I have more fat than I can use,” he wrote.

"Not only do they get to lose their love handles or chubby belly but they get to take part in saving the earth.”

But a spate of recent lawsuits filed against the surgeon by patients who claim he let his unqualified girlfriend and assistant carry out surgical procedures that allegedly left them disfigured uncovered the doctor’s fat-fueled activities. According to his website Dr Bittner is currently volunteering “in a rural clinic outside Bogota, Colombia”.

The patients claim that they found Dr Bittner via the internet and arranged pre-operative consultations at his office, but instead of Dr Bittner conducting the consultation, it was his office manager Darcy, according the the Beverly Hills Courier.

In addition, WIRED magazine cast doubt on Dr Bittner’s claim that he used the lipodiesel to power his girlfriend’s Lincoln Navigator – which it said does not have a diesel model.

It said the whole scheme could be a hoax inspired by the film Fight Club, in which Brad Pitt’s character Tyler Durden uses waste from liposuction to make soap.

Dr Bittner left a message on his clinic’s website on November 20 to tell clients he was moving to South America to volunteer at a small clinic “where I can help those most in need.”

Scientific Proof That Religion Decreases Brain Activity

In America there’s a feeling of Christmas. But that’s not the only winter holiday going on. Jews are lighting Hanukkah candles, Muslims recently feasted on Eid al-Adha, and pagans celebrated the solstice. So it’s a good time for researchers to consider spirituality—from a scientific point of view.

One experience central to major religions around the world is that of transcendence, the idea of almost losing a sense of self to the feeling that there’s something bigger out there. Now scientists at the University of Missouri say they’ve located that experience in our brains. All the people studied, from Buddhist monks in meditation to Francescan nuns in prayer, experience this transcendence. And they all have decreased activity in the right parietal lobe of the brain. That area has to do with senses such as orienting yourself in the space around you. The study was published in Zygon: Journal of Religion & Science.

Interestingly, people with injuries to the right parietal lobe report increased levels of spiritual experiences. The researchers are quick to say that this connection doesn’t minimize the role of religion, and that religious or spiritual experiences might decrease activity in that region and thus increase that special feeling of transcendence. Just in time for the holidays.
